Niagara Falls is one of the world's most spectacular natural wonders and a popular destination for kosher travelers. Straddling the border between the United States and Canada, it attracts millions of visitors each year who come to experience the incredible power of the falls and the many attractions on both sides. The Rainbow Bridge makes it easy to cross between the two countries, so you can enjoy the best of both during your visit.

While Niagara Falls is beautiful in every season, summer is the most popular time to visit. Warm weather, longer days, boat cruises, fireworks, and family attractions make July and August especially busy, so it's worth planning ahead for accommodations and kosher dining. Spring brings blooming gardens, autumn offers colorful foliage and smaller crowds, and winter transforms the falls into a breathtaking frozen landscape.

This guide covers everything you need to plan a kosher trip to Niagara Falls, including where to find kosher food, Shabbat meals and minyanim on both the American and Canadian sides, plus the top attractions and practical tips to help you make the most of your visit.

Kosher Food and Minyan at Niagara Falls

On the Canadian side, the Chabad Niagara Jewish Welcome Center operates Niagara Kosher, which offers expanded kosher dining during the busy summer tourist season. Visitors can enjoy a dairy café, an all-you-can-eat dairy buffet, and a meat restaurant, with seasonal hours that typically run throughout the summer. Since opening days and times may change, it's best to check the current schedule before your visit. Chabad Niagara also offers Shabbat meals with advance registration and holds a daily minyan during the summer season. If you're visiting outside the summer months, check in advance to confirm minyan availability, as services depend on the number of visitors in the area.

On the U.S. side, On the U.S. side, Chabad Niagara Falls USA serves both local visitors and tourists. While a permanent Chabad Visitor Center is currently in development, the Mitzvah Tank (Mobile Jewish Center) operates in the downtown tourist area near Niagara Falls State Park. Visitors can stop by to put on tefillin, daven, pick up Shabbat candle kits, or enjoy light kosher refreshments. During the summer season, a daily Mincha minyan is held at 5:00 p.m. near the main entrance to Niagara Falls State Park, making it easy for visitors to join a minyan while sightseeing. If you're visiting outside the summer months or over Shabbat and holidays, it's always a good idea to contact Chabad in advance to confirm minyan times and available services.

There are no kosher restaurants in Niagara Falls, NY itself. However, visitors can cross the Rainbow Bridge into Canada (a valid passport or other approved travel document is required) to dine at Niagara Kosher, operated by Chabad Niagara on the Canadian side. Alternatively, nearby Buffalo offers several kosher dining and catering options. Buffalo Kosher Deli and BK Gourmet are popular choices for fresh kosher meals, prepared foods, and Shabbat takeout. Both are about 20–30 minutes from the Falls, making them a convenient stop before or after your visit.
