A suite with a balcony you can step out onto, a sofa, a mini bar, a wardrobe, a choice of either a double bed or twin beds, a television, air conditioning, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, a bathrobe, a hairdryer, a telephone, and a safe.

Room size: 26.4 square meters.

 

The price per person in a double suite on the upper floor Mozart Deck with a balcony of 26 square meters is 5,600€

Important to know:

• The tour price does not include gratuities for the tour guide (€40 per person for the entire cruise) or gratuities for the kosher supervisor (€15 per person for the entire tour).

• The cruise company and *Bishvil HaZahav* reserve the right to change the itinerary in the event of technical problems with the river ship, changes in river water levels, malfunctions or closures of river locks, or weather conditions that prevent the itinerary from being operated as published. In such cases, deviations from the published itinerary may be necessary. Accommodation may be provided in hotels rather than on board the ship, and alternative means of transportation may be used, including a replacement ship or vehicles such as coaches, in place of cruising aboard the original vessel.

• Where the cruise forms part of a larger tour, changes to the cruise may also affect other parts of the itinerary, including the route, hotels, transportation arrangements and other elements of the tour.Our tour route is suitable for travelers who can walk for a minimum of 30 consecutive minutes. Within ancient cities where buses cannot enter, the tour is conducted on foot. Those who find it difficult to walk can sit and wait in a café and join the group later. Additionally, we mostly travel in ancient cities where the streets are paved with stones, and sometimes stairs need to be climbed or descended, therefore, wheelchairs or walkers cannot be used.

• Cabin allocation, location and cabin number will be determined by the cruise company according to the category booked. A specific cabin cannot be selected in advance.

We will do our utmost to accommodate special requests regarding cabin location, but such requests cannot be guaranteed.

• During certain dockings along the route, it is possible that two or more river ships may dock side by side. In such cases, the view from your cabin window may be temporarily obstructed by the adjacent ship. Additionally, when the ship is docked next to other ships, disembarkation may be through the adjoining ship. In such instances, the exit might involve climbing up and down stairs.

• Cabins in category B-4 are located on the middle deck at the rear of the ship. These cabins may experience vibrations and/or noise when the ship accelerates, docks, or maneuvers on the river.

 

ITINERARY

 

Day 1 – Monday  - Frankfurt – Embarkation

 

Our journey begins in Frankfurt this morning as we drive to the historic city of Trier to board our river cruise ship.

In the afternoon, we will meet our ship at the port, where we will be welcomed aboard by the crew of the river ship that will serve as our floating hotel for the coming days.

Day 2 – Tuesday Trier – Saar River Viewpoint – Saarburg

 

This morning we set out to explore Trier, the oldest city in the region and once the capital of the Western Roman Empire. We will see the famous Porta Nigra, the “Black Gate,” one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in the world and the symbol of the city.
 

We will stroll through the pedestrian streets of the Old Town, with its beautiful houses, fountains, Jewish Lane and the impressive Church of St. Peter, as time permits.
 

We return to the ship for lunch and afterwards travel to Cloef Viewpoint, one of the most impressive viewpoints overlooking the spectacular Saar Loop – Saarschleife in Germany’s Saarland region.
 

From this magnificent vantage point, we can enjoy panoramic views of the river’s natural horseshoe-shaped bend, the surrounding green forests and the peaceful landscape.
 

We then continue to the charming town of Saarburg, situated on both banks of the Saar River not far from its confluence with the Moselle.
 

We will explore this thousand-year-old town, with its half-timbered houses and Baroque buildings. Around the picturesque Market Square are cafés, restaurants and attractive narrow streets. Saarburg’s most famous attraction is its waterfall, which plunges approximately 20 meters right in the heart of the Old Town. As early as the Middle Ages, a local stream called the Leukbach was diverted through the town in order to harness its waters.

The Old Town is filled with colorful houses and buildings standing along the water on oak supports — a picturesque scene that earned Saarburg the nickname “Little Venice".

Day 3 – Wednesday - Bernkastel – Scenic Cruising Along the Moselle River

After breakfast, we set out on a walking tour of beautiful Bernkastel, located in the Moselle Valley and renowned for the vineyards surrounding it and its long tradition of wine growing.
 

We will wander through picturesque lanes lined with traditional half-timbered houses, including the famous *Pointed House* with its distinctive narrow, pointed roof.
 

We will see the Town Hall, decorated with various symbols and paintings and preserved from the Renaissance period, and the fountain of St. Michael standing in front of it.
 

We will also see *Graach Gate*, the only surviving town gate, and continue to the town’s attractive squares, including Bear Fountain Square and Karlovy Vary Square, named after Bernkastel’s twin city.
 

Naturally, we will also visit the famous Doctor Wine Square, associated with the local legend of the wine said to have cured a bishop of a serious illness.
 

We return to the ship for lunch and begin cruising toward Cochem.
 

Our journey takes us along one of Europe’s most beautiful rivers, the Moselle, which stretches for approximately 544 kilometers.
 

One of the Rhine’s most important tributaries, the Moselle flows through three countries. It rises in France, passes through Luxembourg and joins the Rhine near Koblenz in Germany.
 

The Moselle Valley is one of the most beautiful regions of our entire journey, with extensive vineyards, spectacular landscapes, castles and picturesque villages lining the river. Overnight aboard the river ship.

 

Day 4 – Thursday - Cochem – City Tour

This morning we explore Cochem, an architectural gem regarded as one of the most beautiful towns along the Moselle River.
 

On our walking tour through this enchanting town, we will wander through its narrow streets lined with half-timbered houses, see the medieval town gate, visit the local market area and admire the impressive Reichsburg Castle, which towers above the rooftops.
 

We return to the ship for lunch and continue cruising toward Rüdesheim.
 

During our cruise, we will enjoy breathtaking scenery of steep vineyards climbing the green hillsides, picturesque villages and ancient castles overlooking the river.

Day 5 – Friday - Rüdesheim – Mechanical Music Museum – Koblenz – Shabbat Songs, Prayer Service & Festive Shabbat Dinner.

 

We wake up in Rüdesheim, a historic wine town famous for its narrow Drosselgasse, its winding lanes lined with traditional wine taverns, the magnificent vineyards surrounding the town, the abbey associated with Hildegard of Bingen, known as a 12th-century composer, and the monumental Germania statue standing high above the valley.
 

We will visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Cabinet, a unique museum dedicated to mechanical musical instruments.
 

We then return to the ship and cruise through the most beautiful section of the Rhine Valley, passing vineyards and castles on our way to the two-thousand-year-old city of *Koblenz*, beautifully situated at the meeting point of the Rhine and Moselle Rivers.
 

We will prepare for Shabbat, and before dinner we will gather together with the onboard musicians for Shabbat songs. Overnight aboard the river ship.

 

Day 6 – Saturday – Shabbat - Prayer Service & Walking Tour of Koblenz – Cruising Resumes After Shabbat

 

After prayers and breakfast, we set out on a walking tour of Koblenz.
 

We will stroll through the streets of this historic city, which was extensively destroyed during the war and later rebuilt, visit its squares and walk along the riverside promenade toward the famous *German Corner (Deutsches Eck)* at the meeting point of the Rhine and Moselle Rivers.
 

At the end of our walk, we return to the ship for lunch.
 

The afternoon will be devoted to rest and enjoying the special atmosphere of Shabbat.

Day 7 – Sunday - Königswinter – Schloss Drachenburg – Cologne

 

This morning we visit the resort town of Königswinter.
 

Situated at the foot of the Siebengebirge Hills on the banks of the Rhine, the town combines nature, history and breathtaking scenery.
 

We will tour the area and see Schloss Drachenburg, steeped in history dating back to the 12th century, and enjoy magnificent views over the Rhine Valley, the winding river and the surrounding villages.
 

We will hear the local legends of the dragon said to have lived on the mountain and learn about the site’s importance in local culture and mythology.
 

We then descend back to the town, where we can enjoy a stroll along the attractive riverside promenade.

We return to the ship for lunch and continue cruising toward Cologne.
 

Upon arrival, we set out on a walking tour of the city. We will see the Old Town Hall, the city’s main square, historic squares and the old Jewish quarter.
 

We will also stroll through Cologne’s lively pedestrian shopping streets, filled with shops and cafés, and experience the special atmosphere of the city center.
